Jeremy Comfort founded York Associates, UK, nearly thirty years ago with the mission to develop people internationally. He has trained and coached hundreds of individuals and teams who face the ever more complex challenges of working internationally. Jeremy is responsible for creating the Developing People Internationally approach, an innovative set of training materials out of which this book has grown.
Jeremy has published extensively in the field of business language, communication and intercultural learning. His titles include the Oxford Business Skills (Oxford University Press 1994 98) and Best Practice (Heinle 2007).
Jeremy is accredited to use both The International Profiler and also the Team Management Profile. He combines these tools with training seminars and transition coaching for multinational clients such as Nestlé, Henkel and UEFA.

Peter Franklin is professor of intercultural business and management communication at HTWG Konstanz University of Applied Sciences, Germany. There he works on the B.A. in Asian Studies and Management and the M.A. in International Management Asia.
At his university’s Lake Constance Business School, he teaches on the executive M.B.A.s in Human Capital Management and General Management. He also contributes to the Business School’s executive M.B.A. in Compliance and Corporate Governance delivered mainly in China for Chinese executives of Daimler AG. At Durham Business School, U.K., he also works on the M.B.A.
His teaching and research activities cover language, communication and culture in international business and management.
Since 1989, Peter Franklin has advised, trained and addressed numerous international corporate and institutional clients in the area of intercultural communication, co-operation and management. His work in recent years has focused on post-merger integration, international team building and intercultural management competence development.
Peter is licensed to use The International Profiler development tool. The competency set on which it is based features in The Mindful International Manager. In cooperation with its creators at WorldWork Ltd., London, he was responsible for the localisation of the German version of the Profiler.
Peter Franklin has lived in Germany since 1978 and has mainly worked there but also for short periods in China, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
